Solar Site Vegetation Management & Site Services Across New England and the Mid-Atlantic
Serving solar facilities from Maine to Virginia. A single contractor for the work around the array: mowing and vegetation control, shade-tree clearing, screening plantings, and snow and erosion control. One crew, one point of contact, one invoice.
Shade and overgrowth cost production, and a site that falls behind on maintenance can put permit conditions at risk. Bill’s Landscaping has maintained commercial properties since 1995. We bring the same scheduling, documentation and accountability to solar facilities for developers, owners, EPC contractors and O&M providers throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic.
Solar site services
Mowing and vegetation management
Scheduled mowing between and under panel rows, string trimming around racking and posts, and fence-line and perimeter control that keeps vegetation off the modules.
Tree clearing and shade management
Removing trees, limbs and brush that shade the array or encroach on fences and access roads. Our tree division is led by a CT State Certified Arborist.
Screening and buffer plantings
Installing screening and landscape plantings to the project’s planting plan, plus establishment care so they survive.
Seeding and erosion control
Seeding and stabilizing disturbed areas and keeping erosion controls working, so the site stays stable and within its requirements.
Snow management
Plowing access roads and entrances so crews and inspectors can reach equipment all winter.
Storm response
24/7 live answer for downed trees and storm damage on or around the site.
Erosion control and site stabilization
New arrays leave a lot of bare, disturbed soil. Until vegetation takes hold, every storm can wash sediment toward wetlands, roads and neighboring property, and that can put stormwater permit conditions at risk.
- Hydroseeding under and between panel rows
- Erosion control blankets on slopes, swales and along access roads
- Repair and reseeding of washouts and thin spots
- Ongoing care until the site is stabilized, then routine vegetation management
